As someone who has previously used a motorised treadmill, this one has much better value, considering that it also has a stepper, twister, and push-up bars built-in.
I've recently started working towards a healthier lifestyle after shifting to a new place. Changed my diet, established a daily workout routine, got resistance bands, and finally needed a treadmill. Since I was on a budget, had storage space constraints, and wanted the best possible value-for-money purchase, I chose this one after researching and going through a lot of products and reviews.
Overall, quite pleased with it. I've been using it for around a month now, and here are my observations:
Since it's a manual treadmill, it's inclined by default (for the rolling) and due to this you tend to put more effort into the workout, and also because you have to work harder to control the speed, start, stop, etc. I consider this as an advantage since I want to burn more calories. I usually fall back to the stepper after I've completed my run on the treadmill, it's a good way to finish a workout. The twister and push-up bars work quite well, too.
I personally enjoyed the DIY installation since I love assembling things, but it may be frustrating for some people. You need to ensure that everything is properly assembled for the overall frame of the treadmill and other components to be sturdy. There is an installation guide provided which I found useful. Everything you need to complete the installation (screws, bolts, tools, etc.) is provided. A good installation is key to ensure the stable operation of the treadmill, and also for your own safety. You should not run a treadmill that has not been assembled properly. Most people may prefer to get someone to install it.
Since it's a manual treadmill, prolonged running on the fixed incline may cause pain in the knees for people with joint problems. Motorised treadmills are better for people who may experience these issues. The belt (the platform on which you actually place your feet) might also feel a little bit narrow for some people. I'm careful where I place my feet while running and have never had any issues once I got used to this particular treadmill. If you prefer to have a bit more room, you may want to consider other treadmills. However, in my personal experience, It is perfectly useable and stable for running.
Seller support was great, I was actually pleasantly surprised when they proactively reached out to me on WhatsApp to check if I needed any assistance. I did require 2 additional screws for the push-up bars, which they immediately shipped to me, for free! Was very happy with this.
To round it off, I'm very pleased with this purchase. Seeing this multi-feature treadmill in action has actually even motivated a few of my friends who recently visited me, to start exercising. 🙂
Here's to a healthy lifestyle!
