This is the second iteration of the original Seiko 5 Sports model, which was released in June 1968. With this ‘re-creation’, Seiko offers two colours for the dials that were popular at the time of the original release (see also reference SRPL03K1). The case has been recreated as faithfully as possible to achieve a size and shape that is almost identical to the original model. At the same time, the watch was modernised and the movement improved by inserting a 4R36 into the case. Details such as the shape of the horns and the size of the crown have been updated to reflect the need for practicality and comfort. The model adopts a robust stainless steel bracelet with a similar design to the original bracelet from the first collection. *Readoption’ of the bracelet of the Tribute model released in 2023 (SRPK17). The additional calfskin strap with racing-style perforations further enhances the retro look of the model.
